Last year, Mr. Babar Sultan Callea, General Manager ofthe IoT Business Unit at Qatar’s telecom giant oredoo, paid a visit to the Shanghai headquarters of Yoocar Network Technologies.
The two parties conducted in-depth exchanges and deliberations on such topics as intelligent connected technology, the global layout of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), and autonomous driving.
During the visit, Mr. Babar Sultan Callea gained adetailed understanding of Yoocar’s global IoV products and services, including the global ONE SIM solution featuring one SIM card for global activation,a joint initiative developed with international telecom operators.
This solution empowers automakers to adopt a unified material specification forglobal sales, allowing vehicles to seamlessly switch to local networks uponbeing exported to target countries.
The two sides explored potential cooperation opportunities in the meeting and reached a unanimous consensus to further deepen their collaboration in two core directions going forward: the local rollout of global IoV services in the Middle East, and strategic market cooperation in key future territories.
